My little boy is 5 months old today! His picture this month has some of his current favorite things. And the little flip phone is his month-day present. He is obsessed with his duck from Easter. He chews on the beak and throws it around.
Yesterday was my nephews 1st birthday! We went to a park on the lake and it was so pretty out!
Brody the birthday boy!
His smash cake...
and after...huge mess but it was worth it. He ate that thing up like he was starving!
I can't wait for Levi to do this! Speaking of Mr.Handsome....
He had his first haircut!
I was trying to wait but it was beginning to look a mess.
...and his many faces...
He liked it. Glad I"ll be the only one to ever cut his hair!
Tonight we went out to dinner and on the way my mom taught him how to stick out his tongue. Funniest thing ever. He kept doing it to the waitress. He copies every sound and anything you do. Smart boy!
Tomorrow we get to go to lunch with my mom, her best friend and her daughter who is prego with Levi's future wife! lol And then hopefully to the community picnic in our town. It's at the park. They have rides, food and fireworks! Then Sunday we're going back to the lake to go fishing!
He is so funny and has so much personality. Yesterday he was grumpy all day. He gave the meanest looks and he's so animated with his eyebrows. My mom said he takes after me because I was a brat when I was little! And he loves the ladies! We went to lunch and all of the waitresses were flirting with him and he was just smiling away.
Levi had his 4 month doctors visit today. He had to get 2 shots. I hate it! I hate seeing him cry and it also makes him cranky all day which he normally never is!
He know weighs 16.6 pounds! He's in the 68th percentile for weight. He grew 2 inches since his last visit also! Yay! Now he's 24.5 inches long and he's in the 21st percentile for height. And as I already know he has a big ole head! lol It was in the 73rd percentile.
His next visit is June 27th when he's 6 months! Time flies!
He's so handsome!
This is now his new favorite thing to do....
He chews on his thumb and talks. He's so funny!
He loves peek-a-boo and he also loves pulling his paci out of his mouth and he throws it around and pokes himself in the face with it and talks to it.
Since Levi is 4 months I've been trying to get him use to eating baby food and using a spoon. The spoon still confuses him some. He thinks it's a bottle and wants to suck it. His favorites so far are sweet potatoes and apple sauce. He hates the chicken and chicken broth kind and isn't really a fan of bananas.
I usually buy the Gerber kind that comes with 2 packs but last weekend I got him a different brand that's in a little jar. It was applesauce and he ate the entire thing! I was surprised because normally he just takes a few bites!
I can't wait until he goes back to the doctor to see how much he has grown. He is the funniest, cutest little boy ever! And he loves to talk....or try...
I think I've said talk enough that he now knows what it means! So funny! And Blake and my mom swear they've heard him say actual words. Last night I was holding him standing in the kitchen while Blake cooked dinner and he said something. Not in baby talk but it was so fast I couldn't hear what it was. We just laughed. I can't wait for the day he talks, walks and the day he can real food!
Mothers Day is next Sunday! I'm excited since it's my first. It's still weird to think that I'm actually a mom. Crazy!
