In Shape!

It has officially been 5 weeks since I had Levi. TMI but when I delivered I ended up ripping so I've been a little sore for a few weeks but I feel fine now so I have no excuse not to exercise and get back in shape!

I would say that I wanna get back to my 'pre-baby' weight but I wasn't exactly skinny and the weight I wanted to be. So....let's say the weight I would like to be at was a few (6 to be exact) years ago. This............

I think I weighed around 120 pounds in this picture. And I was a size 4. Makes me sad to look at it! Oh and I should probably mention I am 5'2". The whole getting in a new relationship and getting comfortable thing hit me hard and I just haven't really cared to do anything about it. We've been together coming up on 3 years if that says anything. But now that I've had my baby and don't plan on having another one, It's time!

Hate to put this out there but I think it might be the only way to keep myself motivated. Before I got pregnant I weighed 158. At the end of my pregnancy I had gained 23 pounds. Not to bad for being on bed rest for 3 1/2 months! So that put me at 181. Holy cow! Literally! Thanks to breast feeding I currently weigh 167. By the way the scale in the bathroom lied to me! Somehow it's off by 6 pounds according to the Wii Fit. Ouch! I'm fatter than I thought this whole time. I'll go cry now :(

My goal would be to at least get down to 130. And hopefully do this by my birthday which is in June. Might not happen due to moving and a lot of things going on in the next few months but I'm going to try my hardest!

I don't really have a 'before' picture but this picture is when I was 13 weeks pregnant which by then you don't really show anyway.
Hello chubby!

And this was the end result of being pregnant not to long before I gave birth...

And this is what I currently look like...

Isn't that attractive! I will have to say though that I've seen A LOT worse. So I guess I shouldn't be to hard on myself. Heck there's people bigger than me that didn't just pop a baby out of their vagina a month ago!

I will have to say that before having a baby I had a fat pouch that was like the harder kind of fat. Not sure what happened but now it's just soft squishy skin. So I'm praying that with a few million sit ups that it will be somewhat flat. Your belly is just not the same after having a kid. Obviously!

So that's where I'm at. I'm not much on exercising (never have been and probably never will be) but after having a baby and your skin is all lose, it's pretty much the ONLY way to get rid of it. Thankfully I only have one little stretch mark on my belly but I'm afraid of getting that like cottage cheese looking belly that I've seen some people have. Ain't no way that would ever get in a 2 piece! So hopefully this summer when we go to the beach I can wear one again. It's been a minute!

I have the Wii Fit Plus and I use to do the Zumba on it which is super fun! I also have the Biggest Loser Exercise. So between those and my elliptical machine and a few exercises I found on Pinterest I should be good to go. I plan on watching what I eat but def refuse to do calorie counting. Just not my thing. And in no way am I gonna starve myself or say Oh you can't have that! I'll just be doing more of portion control and being aware of what I'm eating.

I'll more than likely weigh myself everyday but I think maybe every weekend I'll do a weigh in and update it on here just so I can keep track.
Starting January 1, 2013:

Weight: 165.3

9-26-13 : I keep forgetting to update this section! So I started in January at 165.3. In April I was down to 149. Then we went on our cruise and it was down hill from thre. I went back up to the 158 :( On August 25 I decided to get back on the health wagon. It's been exactly a month and I'm now down to 151.5. And I can fit into this again!...
I'm setting my goal weight at 135. But I really don't care what the scale says as long as I feel healthy and fit. I have a goal body I guess you would say and this is it....

Some say this is too 'manly'. She def doesn't look like a man what so ever. I love muscle definition!

I have a few progress pictures that I was gonna post on Instagram but I'm not sure that I'm ready to put it out to the world yet! I can see a huge difference in just a month!

What I'm doing to get in shape:
  1. No soda period! Everyone knows that crap is not good for you! I can honestly say in the past month I have only had 1 and I don't miss it at all! The one time I did drink it, it didn't even taste good!
  2. Water! Drink lots and lots of water. I carry around a gallon jug. Not shopping or anything but to work and I always bring water when I walk or exercise!
  3. Exercise! You can lose weight all you want by just dieting but to actually tone your body and make it tighter, you have to exercise! Cardio is good for losing the weight if you have a lot to lose. Lifting weights is where it's at! And no you will not look like a man by lifting heavy. Our bodies are not designed to look that way. I walk 3 miles a day pushing a stroller up and down hills. Sometimes I go to the park and do a 2.5 mile hike of a wooded trail that we have. It is soooo relaxing and burns so much!
    On the trail
    Another day on the trail!
This day we did the stairs and the driving loop around them

  4. Eating clean! I eat 1300 calories a day. If I burn 600 calories a day I can eat 1900 calories. But if you wanna lose weight faster just stick with the 1300 calories. Starving yourself to death is not an option! If you're hungry eat! Lots of fish, chicken, ground turkey or any non fattening meat you want, and lots of fruits and veggies! Eating healthy is not boring! I don't do paleo or iifym. I just count calories and eat as healthy as possible!
This is my favorite. Avocado, tomatoes, onion, mozz cheese, and  lemon juice. I eat it with some organic tortilla chips or put it on a salad.
  5. A polar watch! I don't know how anyone works out with out one. I mean how do you know how many calories you burn?! And the calorie counters on the machines and tread mills are so not accurate! If you want one I got mine here. I have the FT4. But they have a million options. This one is super easy to use and does the job!
I'm not an expert but I like to think I know what I'm doing. I know how to lose weight the right way. Motivation and dedication are the hardest part!

This picture was taken Sept. 26. Yay!

and then...
This was taken Oct. 7th! These are still tight on me and the size 8s are kinda big now. So exciting! I feel like I look skinny in this picture. Not many people have commented or asked if I've lost weight :( So I feel like I haven't had any progress but I can def tell by how my clothes fit now. 6 weeks ago there would have been no way I could have even pulled a size 6 over my hips!
